What does Socialism mean to Eli Sadoff? To him it is a system of intersectional beliefs that strives to give all people an equal opporutinity in this great country regardless of what their background is. This means creating systems that try to go against institutional sexism, racism, heteronormativity, transphobia, ableism, etc. Whereas, for many affluent, white men it is hard to understand why socialism is needed; for many less affluent people especially people of color, non-gender binary folks, non-heterosexual folks, etc. it is essential to their ability to acheive the American Dream. Democratic Socialism does not defeat the American Dream; instead it encourages it and allows people of all races and creeds in this beautiful melting pot of a country to acheive the American Dream.

The issue is Socialism versus Capitalism. I am for Socialism because I am for humanity. We have been cursed with the reign of gold long enough. Money constitutes no proper basis of civilization. The time has come to regenerate society — we are on the eve of universal change.
...and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.
The labourer is not a capitalist, although he brings a commodity to market, namely his own skin.
